Career & progression

From $0 to the Outlaw League

A gold truck pulls up. Out steps Fonz Monster, smiling like he already knows.

You shake on it. His grip is warm. His rings are cold. Pick your racer, sign the sheet, and start at the bottom of the Rookie Cup with an empty wallet and three continues.

Three leagues

Win the season, move up

League 1

Rookie Cup

Six tracks, short races and a $60,000 winner's purse. Fonz pays your entry fee. How generous.

League 2

Pro Series

All eleven tracks, longer races and a meaner ladder. Fonz Monster sits at the top of it: eleven-time champion, never scrutineered.

League 3 · invitation only

Outlaw League

The Monster Invitational. No rules, no refunds. A $500,000 buy-in, burning barrels round the arena, mostly night racing, and the Spring Glove. Your eight unpicked rivals are here, and they've brought their signature tricks.

Ran out of tracks? The season goes round again with every track reversed.

The ladder

Climb it one rival at a time

Every race puts you against the three rivals ranked nearest you. Points go 10, 6, 3, 1 and reset each season. The old hands start with a head start; Fonz has the biggest.

  • Grudge races. Beat the rival just above you for a bonus.
  • Breathers to catch your breath, and a finale worth double points.
  • Entry tiers. Easy pays 60%, Medium full, Hard 180% with tougher, trick-happy rivals.
  • Difficulty from Easy to Expert: "Flat out: no mistakes, late braking, they never miss a hazard and they won't wait for you."
The Rival Ladder clipboard: Fonz Monster at the top as BOSS (the boss of the dirt; eleven-time champion; never scrutineered), then Cruz Control, Rusty Axle, Sandy Bottoms, Bea Sting, Skid Marx, Dee Railer, Mo Mentum and you, with points and who you race next
In-game: the Rival Ladder, opened from the speed shop. Fonz sits at the top, with a note of his own.
A huge heap of cash bundles and money bags

The Pot

The biggest purse in dirt racing

In the Outlaw League every racer pays a $25,000 entry fee into The Pot after every race. It just keeps growing. Fonz Monster looks after it personally, in the armoured Payday van that keeps every purse safe.

Saving for the buy-in? A jar on the shelf fills up with your savings from your very first Rookie race.

The story

Read between the headlines

The story never interrupts a race. It lives in the paddock: comic-book cutscenes, the news ticker in the shop, notes from your crew, pre-race trash talk and the ladder. Every racer has their own reason to sign, and three story beats of their own.

Somewhere between the yacht, the car-park deal and that van with its engine running, you might start asking questions.

"Fonz Monster takes delivery of a new yacht, the Purse Strings."News ticker
"Crew: That Payday van's had its engine running for three days now. Just saying."Garage note

Story level can be set to Full, Light or Off.
